Coach Owen Roddy discussed whether Conor will retire after UFC 229?
After the fight with Mayweather, fans started thinking that Irish star’s playing days are numbered.
Speaking to Eurobash in a recent interview, Roddy admits that he doesn’t know what the future holds for the Irishman. “I don’t know…I don’t think [he will retire],” Roddy told. “I don’t look into the future to see what’s happening. Conor’s mentality hasn’t changed at all, so I don’t know.”
Roddy believes that, at this point in his career, McGregor is only interested in superfights and fights that will help cement his legacy as one of the greatest fighters in the sport.
He said, “You never know, who knows? We’re just going to focus on the task at hand now. This is potentially the biggest fight ever. We’ll go in and do that and then he’ll probably be on to the next biggest fight ever.”
