According to PWInsider Rey Myesterio reportedly signed a 2-year contract with WWE.
It is not confirmed to which brand will he go to compete. There are many speculations that he will go to Smackdown Live to fued with AJ Styles. From last 3 years, it is seen that that whomsoever is the bonus character in WWE 2K gets along/returns/fueds with main guy on the game’s cover. AJ Styles was on the main cover and Rey Mysterio was bonus character.
- Sting returned and got along with John Cena in 2k15.
- Goldberg returned and fueded with Brock Lesnar in 2k17.
- Kurt Angle returned to become Raw’s General manager in 2k18.
It will be interesting to see what WWE creative team has planned for Mysterio.
